Horizon Logistics Park
Project overview
IAC has carried out archaeological services at a number of sites (Units D2–9 and N) within the Horizon Logistics Park in advance of warehouse and logistic developments. The logistics park is a prime distribution complex located c. 12.5 km north of Dublin City, bordered by Dublin Airport. These have involved desktop assessments, geophysical survey, test trenching, monitoring of ground disturbances, and excavation.
The results of these investigations informed impact assessments submitted in compliance of planning conditions. Where archaeological remains were identified an appropriate mitigation strategy was agreed to facilitate preservation in-situ or by record as part of the development.
