Codling Offshore Wind Farm
Project overview
IAC archaeology were contracted to undertake an archaeological, architectural & cultural heritage Environmental Impact Assessment and monitoring works associated with a proposed offshore wind farm at Codling Wind Park in the Irish Sea. Our consultancy team will be assessing the terrestrial footprint of the project as the design progresses. The proposed offshore wind farm, set in an area called Codling Bank located approximately 13-22 kilometres off the County Wicklow coast, between Greystones and Wicklow Town. The proposed wind park will involve the construction of up to 440 wind turbines, with the potential to provide 1.2 million houses with power.
Methodology for assessment includes a full baseline assessment along with detailed field inspections and monitoring of site investigation works.
