TITLE: Field Archaeologists, Supervisors, Site Directors/ Project Officers
LOCATION: Northern Ireland (northwest)
CONTRACT DURATION: Est. 6 months (37.5 hour-week Mon-Fri.). Commence: October 2024
SUBSISTENCE & ACCOMODATION: Daily subsistence / 5-day a week / 7-day a week accommodation options provided as required and subject to individual requirements; further details available on submission of your application.

Archaeological Directors/ Project Officers 
Salary: £31,200.00 – £34,125.00 subject to experience.

Candidates must demonstrate proven experience and good working knowledge of professional archaeological fieldwork within the UK and/or Ireland.

Main responsibilities
• Working closely with project manager(s) to deliver archaeological projects within a pressurised environment.
• Ensuring site teams adhere to IAC company policies including but not limited to H&S, Sustainability and Quality.
• Motivating and leading site teams.
• Monitor and maintain archaeological archives.
• Ensuring work is completed to a high standard and within given deadlines.

Essential Criteria
• Minimum 6 months’ experience at this staff level.
• Third level archaeological qualification.
• Experience of managing archaeological projects and field teams.
• Experience of archaeological supervision of machine excavation.
• A full clean driving licence and willingness to drive company vehicles.
• Current CSCS/ CSR/ SafePass card.
• National Insurance number/ UK working visa.
• SMSTS/ SSSTS desirable.
• Previous experience of holding archaeological licences in Northern Ireland desirable.

 

Archaeological Supervisors

Salary: £27,066.00 – £29,250.00 subject to experience.

Candidates must demonstrate proven experience and good working knowledge of professional archaeological fieldwork within the UK and/or Ireland.

Main responsibilities

• Supervising plant.
• Supervising and motivating site teams.
• Monitor and maintain archaeological archives.
• Excavation and recording of features.
• Ensuring work is completed to a high standard and within given deadlines.

Essential Criteria
• Minimum 6 months’ experience at this staff level.
• Third level archaeological qualification.
• Experience of supervising archaeological projects and managing field teams.
• Experience of archaeological supervision of machine excavation.
• Current CSCS/ CSR/ SafePass card.
• National Insurance number/ UK working visa.
• SSSTS desirable.

 

Field Archaeologist
Salary: £24,862.50 – £26,812.50 subject to experience.

Essential Criteria
• Third level archaeological qualification
• A full clean driving licence is desirable
• Current CSCS/ CSR/ SafePass card
• National Insurance number/ UK working visa

 

Full PPE will be provided (compliant with all current industry regulations). Any accommodation requirements that we can assist with can be discussed on an individual basis.
