IAC carried out a desktop assessment and archaeological monitoring for a development in Osberstown, Co. Kildare. The proposed development will have a footprint of 24,968m2 and it will be located to the immediate south-east of the M7. A number of recorded archaeological sites were located within the surrounding landscape, although the closest was an enclosure (KD019-072) 150m to the south-west. The desktop assessment recommended monitoring of ground disturbances to investigate the potential for archaeological remains surviving in undisturbed areas. No features of archaeological significance were identified during the course of monitoring and no further archaeological mitigation was deemed necessary.
