Fieldwork & Project Management

IAC has a proven track record in delivering major urban and rural excavation projects on time and within budget. Our experience of successfully managing on up to 110 sites on a single project has resulted in us developing strong project management skills.

This allows us to focus on getting our job done within budget while liaising with the rest of the design team to ensure that the overall project programme is delivered on time.

The flexible approach of our Site Directors and Project Managers ensures that we can alter our approach on site to suit our client’s needs, while still delivering a top-class service to the highest archaeological standards.

Our Project Managers have qualified from the CIF Managing Safety in Construction course and our site staff undergoes regular safety training, enabling IAC to either easily integrate into our client’s safety systems or act as PSCS for the duration of our works on site.

Our services include:

  • Excavation
  • Test Trenching
  • Archaeological Monitoring
  • Site Evaluations
  • Walk-over Surveys
  • Underwater Survey
  • Topographic Survey
  • Aerial Photographic Survey
