JOB TITLE: Archaeological Graphics Technician.
LOCATION: IAC Ltd. Head Offices and Post-excavation Facility, Unit G1, Network Enterprise Centre, Kilcoole, Co Wicklow, A63 KT32.
DURATION: Full-time. Contract: Immediate start, 6 months initially, (with the possibility to become permanent pending suitability and probation).
REMUNERATION: €28,000–€31,000 p.a. dependant on experience.

We are one of the largest archaeological companies in Ireland, operating across the island of Ireland, in both jurisdictions, and recently expanded into Great Britain. As part of our ongoing commitment to the highest quality in digital survey and graphics production and management, we are expanding our graphics department.
JOB DESCRIPTION: The position entails working mainly with autoCAD, but also Adobe Illustrator and QGIS, to produce archaeological figures and mapping to illustrate our reports, method statements, licence applications and publication materials. Duties include processing and digitising site archives, producing mapping, figure production and editing. The successful applicant will be working under the guidance of our senior staff and liaising closely with site, EIS and post-excavation project managers.
REQUIREMENTS: The suitable candidate shall have a minimal of 6 months using autoCAD and good computer literacy skills in other graphics software is an advantage. A Bachelor (Irish level 8 or equivalent) or higher qualification in Archaeology and a good working knowledge of Irish archaeology is also preferable but not essential. The ability to keep to agreed targets and time scales is essential to this position as well as good communication skills.
A full driving licence would be an advantage, but not essential.

JOB TITLE: Post-excavation Environmental Assistant.
LOCATION: IAC Ltd. Head Offices and Post-excavation Facility, Unit G1, Network Enterprise Centre, Kilcoole, Co Wicklow, A63 KT32.
DURATION: Full-time. Contract: Immediate start, 6 months initially, (with the possibility to become permanent pending suitability and probation).
REMUNERATION: €28,000 p.a.

We are one of the largest archaeological companies in Ireland, operating across the island of Ireland, in both jurisdictions, and recently expanded into Great Britain. As part of our ongoing commitment to seeing through the successful completion of our archaeological projects to final report and publication, we are expanding our post-excavation operations. As a member of this team, you will be working with a wide range of archaeological and environmental materials and process material for the various stages of the post-excavation process.
JOB DESCRIPTION: The position tackles all aspects of post-excavation, with duties including processing various archaeological artefacts and ecofacts, from completed excavations from a diverse range of sites. Work includes cataloguing, tracking and processing bulk environmental samples, dry-/wet-sieving and paraffin flotation of soil, faunal, organic and other ecofactual and artefactual cultural material from our site projects. In-house training will be provided for all tasks. The successful applicant will be working under the Post-excavation Supervisor.
REQUIREMENTS: The suitable candidate shall have a minimal of a Bachelor (Irish level 8 or equivalent) or higher qualification in Archaeology and a good working knowledge of Irish archaeology. The ability to keep accurate records is essential to this position as well as good communication skills and computer literacy.
